The entire history of the d'Ornano family in L'Eau Rêvée d'Alma
L'Eau Rêvée d'Alma by Sisley is a very intimate perfume, which immerses us in the personal world of the d'Ornano family, founders of the Sisley brand. Indeed, the house came into being thanks to Hubert and Isabelle d'Ornano. Both grew up in Poland. Fittingly, the bottle of L'Eau Rêvée d'Alma was therefore created by Polish artists. Throughout their lives, and despite having very demanding professional careers, the d'Ornanos never stopped drawing inspiration from nature. This is how they came to bring their children to their cottage in Sussex. Today, the house is led by two of them: Philippe and Christine. It is thus with pleasure that they recall these memories. I feel increasingly drawn to green, to nature, Christine d'Ornano confides. Alma is the first name of one of her three daughters. As one might expect, L'Eau Rêvée d'Alma invites us into the personal history of this great family in the history of French cosmetics.
When iris reveals its two faces
Beyond this very interesting aspect and this discovery of Sisley's heritage, L'Eau Rêvée d'Alma is also a luxurious perfume, which does not hesitate to embrace one of the most refined scents in the perfumer's entire palette: that of iris. Moreover, this plant is worked here with great skill, so as to reveal all its facets. At first, iris highlights its sharpest facet. For this, it is paired with bergamot, cardamom and basil. Its heart, meanwhile, is softer and more floral. It also contains a rose and jasmine accord. Little by little, L'Eau Rêvée d'Alma nevertheless darkens. Its woody persistence comes from a trio of vetiver, patchouli and cedar. This perfume's perfect balance makes it an ideal unisex fragrance, suited equally to women and men.
Far more than a bottle: a work of art!
Finally, L'Eau Rêvée d'Alma also captivates with its bottle. Very minimalist, it is also particularly elegant. It combines the craftsmanship of two artists. Its glass case is the work of sculptor Bronislaw Krzysztof, while its cardboard box was enhanced by the brushes of Elzbieta Radziwill. Common to the entire Eaux Rêvées collection by Sisley, this bottle nevertheless stands apart from its counterparts through the small fabric tie attached to its neck. To evoke the nature at the heart of this fragrance, it is tinted green.
