Guerlain has been part of the olfactory landscape since 1828. In total, five generations of perfumers from the Guerlain family have succeeded one another at its helm. While each had their own signature, they all shared a love above all for the equestrian world. It was by drawing on this that the first Habit Rouge was created in 1965. In 2023, it offers a new, even more exclusive derivative: FOCUS on the bottle of Habit Rouge - Rouge Privé.

To better understand the current appearance of the Habit Rouge - Rouge Privé perfume, it is worth revisiting Guerlain's history. In 1965, the house created a very first glass case for Habit Rouge. It was a very streamlined rectangle, stretching upward, with a timeless geometric silhouette. It featured, on its front face, a recessed area to hold its label. This label had several facets and a more square shape. The transparency of the glass allowed one to glimpse the yellow color of a bright, sun-kissed juice. Red, meanwhile, was only present on this perfume's label and on its cap.
2016: first evolution of this glass case
The year 2016 marked a first evolution of this bottle. At that point, its original metal cap was replaced with a wooden cap. Of course, it kept its red color, echoing the traditional coat of stag-hunting riders. Ringed with metal, this element preserved an undeniable elegance, while also revealing a more natural aspect. This gave it a quirky, more modern touch, also echoing the undergrowth evoked by Jean-Paul Guerlain.
2023: the new bottle of Habit Rouge - Rouge Privé
For Guerlain's Habit Rouge - Rouge Privé, the silhouette of this original case has completely changed. Now, it is a glass cube with sharp, clean edges. Yet its shape may not be entirely unfamiliar... In fact, this bottle preserves exactly the look of the previous notch on Habit Rouge that once held its label. It is therefore a nod to Guerlain's history! Presented in a single 100 ml size, this glass case is now entirely covered in an intense red lacquer. This bold color does not go unnoticed. Here, it appears as a symbol of power, energy, passion and danger. The one who wears this perfume is as chic as he is bold! Habit Rouge - Rouge Privé is aimed at a charismatic man. Finally, the whole is still topped with a cylindrical cap. However, this has once again swapped its wood for metal. Its surface, meanwhile, is not entirely smooth. Its texture draws on the guilloché pattern typical of watchmaking. Note also that this bottle is the same one used for Guerlain's L'Homme Idéal collection.
