Created by Molinard in 1921 to scent the cigarettes of the garçonnes, Habanita reached perfumeries in 1924, billed as “the most tenacious perfume in the world.” This woody, powdery floral oriental pairs vetiver, then reserved for men, with vanilla and patchouli. The 2012 eau de parfum keeps the frieze of naiads designed by René Lalique.

Auparfum recalls that the Habanita bottle was successively worked on by Baccarat, J. Viard and René Lalique. Lalique designed a frieze of nude naiads that, on the black glass, tempers the rigor of Art Deco; Stiletto also mentions a sculpted stopper.
Since the 2012 eau de parfum, the matte black bottle with sharp edges reinterprets the original and keeps the Lalique frieze. For the centenary in 2021, Molinard dressed it in red for a limited edition; the eau de parfum is sold in 75 ml.
