The whole story of Marc-Antoine Corticchiato in a fragrance signed Parfum d'Empire

Marc-Antoine Corticchiato is a creator of Corsican origin but born in Morocco. He thus grew up midway between these two cultures, splitting his time between the citrus groves of the East and the maquis of the family home in the village of Cuttoli Corticchiato. Then, one day in 2002, he decided to found his own perfume house in order to fully express his style there. This is how the house Parfum d'Empire came to life. Also, as if to pay tribute to his own history, Marc-Antoine Corticchiato decided to create the fragrance Eau de Gloire. It retraces the journey of Corsicans who left their village to conquer the world. Thus, through it, Marc-Antoine Corticchiato pays a nod to his father, who left everything behind to settle in Morocco. His father had this thirst to build an empire, and this is how he found himself surrounded by citrus groves. Eau de Gloire is a perfume that embodies the scent of the maquis as it was once described by a certain Napoleon Bonaparte: with eyes closed, on the darkest night, if by some miracle I found myself transported to Corsica, I would recognize it at once by its scent.

Eau de Gloire is a fragrance presented as the sillage of builders and passionate souls who never forget their origins, nor those who stayed on their island, an island with an immortal scent… Thus, Eau de Gloire possesses all the characteristic ingredients of Corsica. This perfume opens on a striking, citrus-driven freshness built on citrus fruits. Eau de Gloire notably highlights bergamot, mandarin and lemon. Likewise, one of the most emblematic ingredients of the Mediterranean region comes into play: lavender. It is accompanied by the vigor of wild mastic as well as that of myrtle and rosemary. This powerful, aromatic opening then becomes warmer, as though steeped in sunlight, thanks to an addition of immortelle. This plant is joined by the vegetal aspect of tea, while other spices complete the ensemble. Thus, Eau de Gloire releases a flavor of licorice and star anise. The whole ends in a more resinous, sustained sillage. It contains oakmoss, cistus, tobacco and leather for an utterly sensual result.
