A “golden gourmand character” between spicy brilliance and amber velvet

Perfumer Louise Turner built Coach Gold like a ray of sunlight sliding across a glass facade: first a pink-spicy flash that catches the eye, then a gently milky vanilla-almond heart, finally an amber-velvet halo that warms the skin until dusk. The guiding idea: elevate the vanilla by letting it breathe amid tangy fruity touches and a light of pink spices, while preserving a sensual amber-musk base—a gourmand balance that is never overwhelming.

Top notes: brilliance of pink pepper & golden fruits

• Pink pepper: a sparkling pink pepper, slightly resinous, that opens the fragrance with a glittering spicy jolt.
• Golden bergamot: zesty, honeyed, it brings a luminous pulp reminiscent of the bottle's color.
• Autumn fruits: gala apple and white peach form a “sunset” accord; their juicy flesh softens the peppery edge and prepares the gourmand character to come.

Heart notes: recycled vanilla*, flowering almond & rosewater

• Up-cycled vanilla: derived from rice husks, distilled to retain only the creamy facet; it lends a milky sweetness, less sugary than a pastry vanilla.
• Almond blossom: heightens the impression of soft biscuit while giving a velvety petal effect.
• Light rosewater: a watery thread that irrigates the heart with freshness and maintains the floral-gourmand balance.

Base notes: warm amber, silky musks & benzoin resin

• Warm amber: a labdanum-ambroxan accord with a liqueur-like sweetness, blond honey color.
• Silky musks: a blend of powdery white musks and a “cashmere” molecule that creates a second-skin veil.
• Siam benzoin: balsamic resin, light caramel and soft myrrh nuances; it extends the vanilla into a velvet sillage.

To avoid heaviness, the creator places the vanilla at the center, like a golden core, then arranges around it a ring of flowering almond and rosewater that lets it breathe. Pink pepper serves as the initial flash—an Instagram-ready spark—while amber and benzoin act as a permanent golden filter, muting the whole and ensuring long-lasting longevity without turning into burnt sugar.

Ingredients designed for today

Coach Gold displays 89% ingredients of natural origin. The vanilla comes from a rice husk recovery process, limiting the carbon footprint. The alcohol comes from European beet, while the pink pepper is obtained through low-energy supercritical CO₂ distillation.

Projection, longevity & tips

Projection: a halo of about 1 m during the first hour, then an intimate bubble.
Longevity: six to eight hours on skin, ten on a wool scarf.
Layering: to accentuate the brilliance, spray a bergamot-tea mist before the fragrance; to intensify the gourmand character, apply a chocolate-tonka body lotion before Coach Gold; for an amber-woody turn, layer a touch of oily cedar on the wrists.
