N°5 Winter Case is the 2026 holiday limited edition of Chanel’s N°5 Eau de Parfum, in a 200-milliliter bottle. The juice remains the one Jacques Polge drew in 1986 from Ernest Beaux’s N°5: an aldehydic floral bouquet of rose, jasmine and ylang-ylang over ambery vanilla notes. The cap wears a white hat, the box a decor of snowy mountains.
N°5 Winter Case contains N°5 Eau de Parfum, with no announced change of formula: the house repeats its description of the bouquet word for word and publishes the ingredient list of the eau de parfum. The notes listed here are those of the eau de parfum.
An abstract floral bouquet
Chanel describes a floral bouquet built on rose, jasmine and ylang-ylang, heightened by aldehydes, which Ernest Beaux used in an unprecedented way in 1921. The eau de parfum draws this bouquet from N°5 Extrait, the house specifies.
An ambery trail
Ambery vanilla notes extend the bouquet and give it a trail that Chanel intends to be sensual. This is the hallmark of the 1986 version, more ambery than the original perfume, which the winter edition takes up unchanged.
