Vivo Elixir is the eau de parfum Cerruti 1881 launches in spring 2026, the second chapter of Vivo, released in 2024. Signed by Frank Voelkl and Grégoire Balleydier of dsm-firmenich, this aromatic woody fougère sets oud, saffron and suede against a fougère structure of nutmeg, lavandin and cedar.

The house describes three tiers: pink pepper, nutmeg and lavandin in the top, saffron, vanilla and suede in the heart, Amberever, cistus absolute, Virginia cedar and oud in the base. It ranks the fragrance among aromatic woody fougères.

Two structures in contrast

Oud, saffron and suede carry the part the house links to the Middle East. Nutmeg, lavandin and cedar draw the aromatic fougère structure opposite them, that of Western perfumery.

Pink pepper brightens the opening, alongside nutmeg and lavandin. In the heart, saffron joins suede and vanilla, which give the whole a gourmand touch.

In the base, oud and Virginia cedar bring a smoky note, while cistus absolute and Amberever give it its ambery warmth.

What the label declares

Denatured alcohol and fragrance open the list, ahead of tetramethyl acetyloctahydronaphthalenes, a woody amber, vanillin and water. Juniperus virginiana oil, which is Virginia cedar, comes before linalyl acetate, coumarin, patchouli oil and linalool.

A UV filter, isoeugenyl acetate, geraniol, citronellol and lavender oil sit in the middle of the list. Beta-caryophyllene, pinene, limonene and rose ketones appear further down, along with eugenol, camphor, isoeugenol and geranyl acetate, which closes the list.
