Black Tie

Black Tie is presented by Celine as a couturier fragrance, offered as an Eau de Parfum. For the house, the accord is androgynous and vanilla is its axis: the word places Black Tie outside strictly masculine or feminine codes.

Black Tie comes in nine sizes, from 2 ml to 200 ml. Between these two extremes are volumes of 3, 5, 10, 20, 30, 50 and 100 ml, a particularly extensive range of formats for a single juice.

Top

Lychee brings a fruity note with exotic accents, which its rosy facets bring closer to the floral register. Bergamot, a citrus whose zest is pressed, offers a slightly sweet fruit and a crisp freshness, typical of the citrus notes placed at the opening of a composition.

Heart

Vanilla, sweet and warm, carries spicy nuances. Cedar evokes the dry wood of a pencil and resin. Tree moss adds a smoky wood with earthy accents. Musk combines wood, animalic character and warmth, while iris turns powdery, buttery, close to violet.

Base

A synthetic molecule with woody and musky tonalities, Cashmeran comes with spicy facets. Vetiver, drawn from the roots of a tropical grass, brings a smoky, earthy wood to the tier, evoking damp soil and root.

Oriental family

The oriental character stems from vanilla, from its sweet, spicy warmth, extended by the animalic warmth of musk and the spicy touches of Cashmeran. These warm, amber materials define orientals; cedar, tree moss and vetiver add a woody framework here.

What the label declares

The label lists alpha-isomethyl ionone, a molecule with a powdery violet odor, in the register of the iris present in the heart. Evernia furfuracea extract corresponds to the lichen of tree moss. Coumarin, present in tonka bean, recalls cut hay and almond.
