Composition

Opening

The top tier combines ambrette and pear. Extracted from the seeds of a plant in the hibiscus family, ambrette offers facets of amber and powder, over a musky tonality of plant origin. Pear, for its part, brings a fruity, sweet and soft register.

The heart

Five notes form the heart. Magnolia brings greenness, freshness and a touch of vanilla, violet a slightly waxy green powder. Sandalwood develops a velvety, warm wood there, amyris a woody note with sandalwood accents, and the wood note a creamy sweetness.

The base

The base holds cedar, musk and vetiver. Cedar evokes resin and pencil shavings. Musk combines wood, warmth and an animalic nuance, while vetiver, the root of a grass, extends the accord toward smoky and earthy tones.

A woody floral

Mojave Ghost Absolu belongs among the florals. Magnolia and violet carry this family: the former through its green, vanilla-tinged freshness, the latter through its powder. Florals are organized around a bouquet of petals, here surrounded by sandalwood, amyris and cedar.

Ionone and aldehyde on the label

Three odorous components are declared. Alpha-isomethyl ionone, from the ionone family, evokes violet and iris, which echoes the violet in the composition. Farnesol, present in many flower oils, has a light floral tone. Cinnamal is the characteristic aldehyde of cinnamon.
