In 2017, Byredo presents Bibliothèque, a floral Eau de Parfum that opens on velvety plum and nectar-like peach. Powdery violet and tender peony make up the heart tier. The base brings together earthy patchouli, warm vanilla, smoky leather and musk, from which come the woody and musky accents of the composition.

Bibliothèque was released by Byredo in 2017, in Eau de Parfum concentration. Its name, that of a place where books are stored and consulted, crowns a floral composition with woody and musky facets. It comes in sizes of 2, 3, 5, 10, 50 and 100 ml.

Composition

Ripe fruits

Plum brings a velvety, sweet material, almost gourmand, evoking the flesh of a ripe fruit. Peach stays within a sweet register, with a velvety texture and an impression of nectar, that of a juice running around the pit.

Powdery flowers

Violet offers a powdery facet shot through with greenness, with a waxy aspect recalling the leaf as much as the flower. Peony, tender, leans toward rose and takes on the freshness of lily of the valley. This flower cannot be distilled: perfumers recreate it through an accord.

Leather and earth base

Patchouli brings an earthy character, an undergrowth humidity and a camphoraceous touch. Vanilla gives sugar, spices and warmth. Leather evokes smoke, tar and tobacco. Musk, woody and animalic, adds its warmth to this base.

Floral, woody, musky

Violet and peony anchor Bibliothèque in the floral family, that of compositions built around petals and flowers. Patchouli, with its earthy profile, carries the woody facet. Musk gives the musky facet, with its animalic warmth.
