The notes announced by the house, with no division into top, heart and base, bring together liquorice root absolute, patchouli extract, a textured blond woods accord and an orange marmalade accord, the latter playing the role of the collection’s raker.
Liquorice, patchouli and blond woods form the foundation, which the house describes, in the perfumer’s words, as “elegant chaos.”
The orange marmalade cuts through this dark, sweet base and evokes the British breakfast table, like the red thread in the Check pattern.
