Launched in the summer of 2009, Boss Orange is the first women’s fragrance from Boss Orange, Hugo Boss’s relaxed, bohemian line. Annick Ménardo composed it as an amber woody scent: crisp apple, bergamot, and white peach in the top; orange blossom, plum, and cinnamon in the heart; creamy vanilla, sandalwood, and olive tree wood in the base. Sienna Miller is its face.
A slender bottle adorned with seven faceted glass stones echoing the seven chakras, in a box inspired by a Chesterfield armchair.
The Boss Orange bottle is long and slender. The house presents it as a link between earth and sky: seven identical glass stones with multiple facets are stacked in transparency, echoing the seven chakras, the body’s energy centers.
The box draws on the white leather Chesterfield armchair in which Sienna Miller curls up in the campaign. Inside the glass, the juice is tinted by six colorants declared on the label: two yellows, two reds, one blue, and one violet.
Chant Wagner, of The Scented Salamander, judged the bottle in August 2009 very successful and unlike the others, with its hippie, new-age concept of the seven chakras. She finds that the advertising film makes good use of it.
