Beautiful, by Estée Lauder, opens on bergamot, rose and lily, between fruity freshness and powdery sweetness. Tuberose, jasmine and lily of the valley occupy the heart; vanilla, amber and sandalwood unfold over a warm, woody base.
Bergamot and rose share the same freshness. In lily, rose takes on a spicy turn: two accords cross paths in the top notes without blending, fruit on one side, white flower on the other.
Tuberose and jasmine, both warm, occupy the heart; the former evokes wax, the latter keeps a wild edge. Beside them, lily of the valley remains green and fresh, in sharp contrast.
In the base, vanilla and sandalwood meet on a shared warmth, while amber and sandalwood come together instead on the woody side. The spices of vanilla mingle with the camphor of amber.
