Arancia di Capri is the citrus eau de toilette Acqua di Parma launched in 1999 in its Blu Mediterraneo line, like a sunny stroll across the island of Capri. Italian sweet orange, mandarin and lemon rest on petitgrain and cardamom, before a touch of caramel and musk, in the house’s blue Art Deco bottle.
The house sets out a simple pyramid: Italian sweet orange, mandarin and lemon in the top, petitgrain and cardamom in the heart, caramel and musk in the base. Portia sees a cologne-style eau de toilette, fresh and slightly earthy.
Italian citrus
Sweet orange, mandarin and lemon, all three from Italy, open the fragrance on bright notes, according to Escentual. Portia finds the citrus and greenery beautifully worked, like a classic brought up to date.
Petitgrain and cardamom
Petitgrain and cardamom hold the heart, where Portia smells the citrus turn pithier, over warmer, sawdusty woods.
Caramel and musk

What the label declares
The list opens with alcohol, water and fragrance, with limonene and linalool. Three UV filters, ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane and ethylhexyl salicylate, protect the juice along with two antioxidants, BHT and tocopherol.
Citral, geraniol, benzyl alcohol and citronellol complete the list.
