Guidance 46 is the extrait de parfum of Amouage’s Guidance line, launched in 2024 and composed by Quentin Bisch. Dosed at 46% concentrate and aged for four weeks, it takes up the pear, hazelnut and olibanum of Guidance over a heart of rose, saffron, sambac jasmine and osmanthus, and a base of cistus, sandalwood and ambergris.
Eveline Nagajeva, for Plezuro, finds Guidance 46 rounder than Guidance and richer in nuance: less saffron, a fruity and tender rose, a nuttier base, both deep and smooth, crossed by a fresh green woodiness. She sees it as a more nuanced version that stays true to the original.

On August 27, 2024, Eveline Nagajeva compares the extrait with Guidance, which she regards as the pillar of the line. She finds in it the fruity, gourmand, spicy and creamy layers of the original, blended into a single composition around hazelnut.
She notes less saffron and a fruity, tender rose. The base seems nuttier to her, deeper and smoother, crossed by a fresh green woodiness mingled with the fruity rose.
She judges Guidance 46 rounder, richer in nuance and true to the original. The sample had been provided to her by a retailer, the magazine points out.
