Ambre Samar

Guerlain launched Ambre Samar in spring 2025 in the Absolus Allegoria line, which the house presents as its collection of absolute fragrances: powerful eaux de parfum, conceived as a journey among the wonders of the world at nightfall. Rose Amira and Tabac Sahara also belong to it.

Delphine Jelk, Guerlain’s director of fragrance creation, signs the composition. She describes it as a tribute to the flamboyant light that illuminates nature on a night of the red moon, and as a chiaroscuro amber that radiates sensuality.

The house starts from the image of a lunar eclipse, when a spectacular light bursts out of the darkness. The fragrance plays on this contrast: the dark wreaths of frankincense and ambergris are lit up by an amber accord with accents of vanilla and honey.

Like the whole collection, Ambre Samar contains more than 90% ingredients of natural origin according to the ISO 16128 standard, water included. Its alcohol comes from French beets, from a supply chain committed to responsible farming, Guerlain specifies. It is sold in one hundred twenty-five milliliters.
