Since its release in 2005, Alien by Thierry Mugler has never stopped making people talk. Sometimes as fascinating as it is enigmatic, it ranks among the house’s best-selling perfumes. As such, Thierry Mugler keeps reinterpreting it to continually reveal new facets of its personality to women all over the world. At the start of 2017, the house therefore chose to move toward luminosity by creating Alien Eau Sublime. The bet was bold, and many wondered what surprise could still be found in this juice. A beautifully designed and carefully studied bottle
First, let us begin by highlighting the bottle design work of the house of Thierry Mugler. Indeed, even though Alien’s bottle is already known across the entire planet, its design is such that it is simply impossible to grow tired of it. A true jewel taking the shape of an amethyst, it has this time traded its former purple hue for more golden tones evoking light and refinement. What is more, as if this perfume were a rare gem to be protected, four gold claws come to grip its stone, at the same time only heightening its enigmatic side. As always, the whole is designed to be refillable. Indeed, Thierry Mugler is a figure concerned with the future of our planet and thus takes care to work in an eco-responsible manner. In fact, the house had even gone further in 2013 by selling completely empty Angel bottles to be refilled as desired at perfume fountains available in 2200 stores in France. Alien Eau Sublime will therefore be no exception to this rule, a commendable initiative that we believe is worth highlighting.
The luminous aura of Alien Eau Sublime
Although the Alien perfume has been revisited time and again, it is undeniable that Thierry Mugler has a gift for always surprising us a little more. Recall in particular his Alien Parfums du Cuir from 2012, paying tribute to the glovemakers of old, or Alien Liqueurs de Parfums, aged in a cask like a fine armagnac. Yet, once again, Alien Eau Sublime appears as a true creative feat. It is fascinating in its luminosity without abandoning its initial mysterious and deep facet. Thus, its original elements such as jasmine, amber and cashmere have been kept. Citrus, green notes and floral notes have nonetheless been added to the whole for a sunnier, fresher and more serene result. It is a bit as if the Alien of old were rising from its ashes to lay upon our planet a true luminous halo. Alien Eau Sublime is thus presented as an energizing, invigorating and comfortable perfume, a description that suits it perfectly, ready to sweep across the world with its refined and poetic breath.
