Cedro Virtuoso

Cedro Virtuoso is Acqua di Parma’s eau de parfum joining the Signatures of the Sun collection in 2026, composed by Fabrice Pellegrin. A Calabrian bergamot opens it, before a co-infusion of Virginia cedar and hazelnut, macerated together for thirty days, and a base of sandalwood, tonka bean and Ambrox.

The fragrance has three tiers, which the house names one by one: Calabrian bergamot, a co-infusion of cedar and hazelnut, and musk at the top; Atlas and Alaska cedars in the heart; tonka bean absolute, sandalwood and Ambrox at the base.

From cedar to tonka

Calabrian bergamot opens the fragrance with a luminous brightness, tempered by the golden warmth of the Virginia cedar and hazelnut co-infusion. The hazelnut brings a creamy, buttery roundness, while the cedar keeps its dry, noble structure. The result is a gourmand depth that softens the freshness of the opening and leads toward warmer tones.

At the center of the composition, the cedar expresses itself through three complementary facets. The Virginia one gives a soft, glowing warmth, Atlas cedar a spiced, balsamic depth, and Alaska cedar leathery, aromatic nuances that structure the whole with a hint of intrigue.

The base deepens and envelops: creamy sandalwood and the ambered resonance of Ambrox surround the textured sweetness of tonka bean absolute, for an impression of warmth and refined elegance. The house places Cedro Virtuoso among the woody gourmands.

What the label declares

Denatured alcohol and fragrance open the list, ahead of tetramethyl acetyloctahydronaphthalenes, an ambery wood, and acetyl cedrene, another woody material. Ethylhexyl salicylate, a UV filter, comes before Juniperus virginiana oil, which is Virginia cedar, and bergamot peel oil.

Butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane, a second UV filter, limonene, linalyl acetate and alpha-isomethyl ionone come before the water, linalool and pinene. Cedrus atlantica oil or extract, Atlas cedar, appears lower down, with beta-caryophyllene, a second alcohol and citral.

Tris(tetramethylhydroxypiperidinol) citrate, geranyl acetate, terpinolene and geraniol come before four colorants: CI 15985, CI 14700, CI 19140 and CI 42090.
