Vanilla Sex is the Eau de Parfum from the Private Blend collection that Tom Ford launched in December 2023. The house built it on three vanillas, including an India vanilla tincture created for it, warmed by floral notes and bitter almond, over a base of sandalwood, tonka bean absolute and Ultravanil. Its Private Blend bottle plays on cream and honey.
Tom Ford does not divide the composition into stages. The house describes it as an interplay of deep and bright vanillas, warmed by mysterious florals and a bitter almond essence, where sandalwood meets tonka bean absolute and Ultravanil.
At its launch, the house also named jasmine and orris among these florals, and tasked sandalwood and orris with keeping the vanilla’s sweetness at bay. It classifies the whole among amber gourmands.
