Santal Blush, created by Tom Ford in 2011, combines spicy cinnamon with warm spices and caraway in the top notes. Jasmine, ylang-ylang and rose share a floral, waxy heart, before cedar, sandalwood and musk form a woody, animalic and powdery base.
Cinnamon, bark-like and spicy, spices, warm and opulent, and caraway, spicy and cuminic, occupy the top notes: the three raw materials belong to the same spicy register, with cinnamon alone also being woody.
Warm, sweet jasmine, powdery and floral ylang-ylang, and warm, honeyed rose make up the heart; warmth runs through all three notes, from the sugariness of jasmine to the honeyed wax of rose.
Woody cedar, evoking pencil shavings, woody and velvety sandalwood, and woody, animalic musk meet in the base: the three raw materials share the same woody facet, each expressing it in its own way, between resin and animalic sensuality.
