Layton

Declined as early as 2017 into Layton Exclusif, Layton is the starting point of a lineage at Parfums de Marly. Composed in 2016 by Hamid Merati-Kashani as an Eau de Parfum, it opens on apple, bergamot and mandarin. Its heart gives way to lavender and violet, while vanilla, guaiac wood and sandalwood provide its base.

Fruity top

Apple opens on a fruity, sweet, almost gourmand facet. Bergamot brings a fresh fruit tinged with sugar. Mandarin adds a sun-kissed, luminous sparkle, commonly found in pressed citrus zests.

Floral heart

The heart tier is built around flowers. Violet plays on powderiness, greenness and a waxy touch, while geranium evokes rose with softness. Lavender brings a floral freshness shot through with camphor. Jasmine, warm and sweet, keeps a wild edge.

Woody and spicy base

Vanilla brings together sugar, spice and warmth. Patchouli contributes an earthy, damp, camphoraceous note, and guaiac wood a balsamic smokiness. Pepper, dry and herbaceous, and cardamom, spicy and fresh, heighten the accord, which sandalwood wraps in a warm, velvety wood.

Fougère family

Fougère is traditionally built on lavender, woody accents and an amber or coumarin base. In Layton, the lavender in the heart carries this character, supported by geranium, a classic material of this family. Patchouli and guaiac wood provide its woody foundation.
