Oud Wood

Feminine Eau de Parfum by Tom Ford, Oud Wood combines pepper, cardamom and rosewood in the opening with a heart of sandalwood, vetiver and oud, which vanilla, tonka bean and amber envelop in the base.

Kafkaesque praises an opening of unusual softness for Tom Ford, an accessible oud and an unexpected mocha accord.

Olfastory’s review

Kafkaesque, Kafkaesque (2013)

Kafkaesque finds the opening of Oud Wood particularly soft for a Tom Ford. She places rose and cardamom in the foreground, alongside an earthy vetiver and a rich vanilla. She describes the oud as accessible, with slightly medicinal facets but without harshness.

She notes the surprising presence of a mocha accord at the center of the fragrance, which she did not expect in an oud composition. Her review states: the softest opening I've ever experienced for one of his perfumes.
