Mirto di Panarea is the eau de toilette Acqua di Parma added in 2008 to its Blu Mediterraneo line, inspired by Panarea, the smallest and oldest of the Aeolian Islands. Myrtle and basil, brightened with Italian lemon and bergamot, blend with a marine note, jasmine and Damask rose, over a base of lentisk, juniper berries, cedar and amber.

Lentisk and cedar
In the base, lentisk (mastic) absolute blends with juniper berries, Virginian cedar and amber, which Escentual keeps, along with myrtle and basil, to sum up the fragrance.
What the label declares
The list opens with alcohol, fragrance and water, with limonene, lemon peel oil and tetramethyl acetyloctahydronaphthalenes, a synthetic molecule. Next come bitter orange and bergamot peel oils, linalyl acetate, linalool and pinene.
Two UV filters, butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane and ethylhexyl salicylate, protect the juice. The list also names citronellol, terpineol, citral, geranyl acetate, coumarin, rose ketones, terpinolene and alpha-terpinene.
