Vibrato

Sospiro is the Italian word for a sigh, from the Latin suspirium, a breath that rises, the house explains. Born in Italy in 2011 by its own account, it composes its perfumes like pieces of classical music or opera and names them after voices: Basso, Contralto, Tenore, Prima Donna.

Vibrato belongs to the Classica collection. The house attributes the formula to Christian Provenzano, whom it presents as a master perfumer with more than fifty years of experience, and counts it among its perfumes that have gone viral.

Since 2022, Sospiro says it has worked from Dubai, where in its own words it opened a new chapter and carried its collection onto an international stage. It sums up this move in one phrase: Italian craftsmanship carried onto a Gulf stage.

The name refers to vibrato, the slight wavering in the pitch of a note that warms a singer’s voice or the sound of a violin. When the perfume came out, the house invited wearers to let themselves be won over by the entrancing warmth of a perfect aromatic vibrato.
