Retrospect is Merit’s first fragrance, an extrait launched on October 22, 2024 and composed in Paris by Fanny Bal. Inspired by the fragrances of the past, reread with a modern sensibility, it moves from bergamot, pear and aldehydes to a heart of jasmine, rose and iris, over a base of vanilla, musk and moss.

Retrospect comes in a custom-designed glass bottle, inspired, according to the brand, by modernist jewelry and designed to sit in the hollow of the hand.
In the Sephora visual, the clear, rounded glass, with pale juice, bears the MERIT name in gold letters, under a pebble-shaped gold cap. The extrait is sold in 9.5 ml and 30 ml.
