Sea Salt & Bergamot Cologne

Bergamot opens the fragrance, brightening it with a sparkling citrus freshness. Sea salt, at the central tier, gives relief and an impression of freshness and purity: the house stresses its crunchy nature.

A driftwood accord anchors the base. Steeped in the saltiness of the sea, it brings a light woodiness to the fragrance. The house’s stylists suggest layering a touch of Silver Birch & Lavender over it, for a fresh, aromatic blend lifted by a salty minerality.

The house places Sea Salt & Bergamot among its fresh, woody colognes, in the line of the sea salt fragrances inspired by the British coasts.

What the label declares

Alcohol denat., fragrance and water open the list, before tetramethyl acetyloctahydronaphthalenes, an ambery wood, benzyl salicylate and linalyl acetate. Limonene, bergamot peel oil and bitter orange peel oil come before pinene, alpha-isomethyl ionone and Juniperus virginiana oil, which is Virginia cedar.

Patchouli oil, linalool, isoeugenyl acetate and amyl cinnamal come before geraniol, citronellol, citral and vanillin. Geranyl acetate, beta-caryophyllene, terpinolene, terpineol and camphor appear further down, with spearmint leaf oil.

Carvone, benzyl alcohol, benzyl benzoate and rose ketones come before alpha-terpinene, coumarin and sclareol, which close the list.
