Invictus Victory

Paco Rabanne secures a triumphant success with its new fragrance, Invictus Victory. Bold and irreverent, Paco Rabanne is a designer who does not like to go unnoticed. Adored by some, criticized by others, he surprises just as much with his couture creations as with his visionary fragrances.

In 2021, Paco Rabanne decided to expand its large family of Invictus men's fragrances. As a reminder, the first installment of this saga was created in 2013, embodying athletic success, strength and a conquering spirit. It had a woody and refreshing character, relying mainly on a marine accord. Then, in 2016, Invictus Intense added a touch of whisky, orange blossom and salt. In 2018, Invictus Acqua proved more refreshing, relying this time on a violet aroma. Finally, the last Invictus Legend from 2019 played the spice card. So how do you bring a fresh new dimension to this already well-stocked collection? Here is the secret of Invictus Victory and our review of it.

Invictus Victory, its similarities and differences with its predecessors

Invictus Victory truly has a personality entirely its own. This new juice departs from Paco Rabanne's original 2013 composition by completely removing its marine tonalities. However, it remains a fresh and seductive juice, just like its elder. With it, there is no need for whisky to intoxicate the senses, nor even a salty accord to evoke masculine skin after exertion. To win us over, Invictus Victory relies more heavily on aromatic and sweet ingredients, currently very much in trend.

Invictus Victory, the image of an ideal to attain

Just like the other Invictus fragrances before it, Invictus Victory stands as the standard-bearer of masculine perfection. With it, men are invited to push themselves a little further each day. It is the symbol of an overwhelming victory. The man who wears this fragrance relies solely on performance and self-surpassing. Its message is clear: push one's limits and do everything possible to take on ever greater challenges. Carrying strong values within it, Invictus Victory immediately becomes a genuine fantasy, the symbol of an ideal.

Paco Rabanne's new black bottle color

As for the bottle, the main difference between Invictus Victory and its predecessors lies in its color. It now features a new black gradient. The blue of before has completely disappeared, and masculinity seems to gain ground. Transparent at its base but perfectly opaque at its top, Invictus Victory retains a certain luminosity. Moreover, this radiant aspect is further accentuated by the new golden V on its front face. This bottle becomes as aesthetic as it is practical. It is a resounding success, a testament to all of Paco Rabanne's skill in repurposing objects.

The fresh and magnetic character of Invictus Victory

Finally, as for the composition, Invictus Victory manages to bring together ingredients that are complete opposites. It sends through the air a warm-cool character as striking as it is appealing. At first, its citrus notes amplify its natural energy, while being tickled by incandescent spices. Lemon faces off against pink pepper. Incense casts a touch of mystery over it, while being accompanied by an aromatic, Mediterranean lavender. Finally, for a more lasting and smooth result, its base is composed of tonka bean, amber and vanilla.
