Francis Kurkdjian is of Armenian origin. He was born in 1969 in Paris. Barely graduated from ISIPCA, the famous perfumery school, Francis Kurkdjian created Le Mâle for Jean-Paul Gaultier, propelling him into the spotlight. Francis Kurkdjian considers himself a self-made man. In 2001, he opened his own bespoke perfume creation studio. That same year, he was named winner of the François Coty perfumer's prize for his body of work. In 2008, he won the Cosmétique Magazine award for the perfumer's craft. Francis Kurkdjian is a demanding perfumer, a talented man. Francis Kurkdjian sought to create an essence that was both ultra mysterious and full of seduction. The Eau de Parfum For Him is a fragrance with elegant, fresh notes of violet flowers paired with musk and pink pepper. For Him opens with the freshness of violet flower. This is a highly fragrant flower. Also known as Fleurs de Mars, violet typically displays a purple color, but can also be blue or white. It should be noted that it is not the flowers of the violet that are distilled, but its leaves. The violet flower note is obtained through synthetic molecules such as ionones. The heart of For Him is filled with musk, an ingredient mainly found in base notes. Musk is an ingredient of animal origin. Its scent comes from the musk deer. During the rutting period, this animal releases a particular odor, both sensual and animalic. It is a brownish liquid located under the abdominal gland of the musk deer that was harvested for perfumery. Musk was highly prized, but the problem was that it required the extinction of musk deer.
