The Eau de Toilette Emblem Intense was launched in 2015, following the immense success of Emblem, released a year earlier. It was perfumer Sonia Constant who was chosen to create Emblem Intense. She is also the one who composed Emblem. Sonia Constant learned her craft after being admitted to the prestigious perfumery school ISPCA. After graduating, Sonia Constant was hired by Givaudan, where she met Christine Nagel, who became her mentor. When asked about her work as a perfumer, Sonia Constant states that she has always seen her work as a nose as a way of speaking to other people's unconscious. Highly creative and intuitive, Sonia Constant loves to travel and brings back numerous scents from her journeys. Sonia Constant is behind several great fragrances, such as In New York by Van Cleef & Arpels, Donna Noir Absolu by Valentino, and Noir pour Femme by Tom Ford.
Emblem Intense Montblanc, notes between elegance and sensuality
Emblem Intense opens on a cocktail of citrus, paired with the aromatic tonality of sage. The whole is enhanced by spices, cardamom and coriander, which lend the composition character and a most intense fervor. Native to the Middle East, coriander is also known as Arabian parsley. Both the seeds and the leaves of coriander are used. Initially, coriander was used for its medicinal properties. It has also been used in cooking, particularly in North African and Chinese dishes. In perfumery, the ground seeds are distilled with steam. The heart of Emblem Intense, meanwhile, is intense by design, combining flowers and spices, namely violet flower, Pomarose, nutmeg and cinnamon.
The fruit of the nutmeg tree, nutmeg is native to Indonesia. It was initially used to treat sore throats as well as hemorrhoids. Nutmeg, like its flower, is used as a spice.
