Eau d’Energie, launched by Biotherm in 2006, brings together orange, mandarin and lemon around apricot, physalis and jasmine. Only the base is agreed upon by all, woody and musky, between cedar and musk. Above it, the house itself varies from one description to another.
Only one tier escapes Biotherm's contradictions: the base, where cedar lays down the wood and musk carries the trail.
Above it, the house does not tell the same story twice. In one version it announces a citrus opening, orange, mandarin and lemon, with ripe fruit and flowers where apricot and physalis answer jasmine. In another, it describes a bergamot top, a heart of cardamom and ginger, and a tonka bean added to the base. The two versions agree on orange, mandarin and wood.
What withstands comparison thus amounts to very little: orange, mandarin, lemon, physalis, apricot and jasmine, present in both cases, and a woody musky sillage that nothing disputes. The order of these fruits, however, changes depending on the description used.
