The development of Biotherm

Biotherm is a brand that was born in the Pyrénées-Orientales in 1952. It came into being thanks to Doctor Jos Julien. Indeed, he decided to incorporate thermal plankton into a cosmetic treatment. With this product, he wanted to speed up the healing of certain skin infections by boosting the skin's cellular regeneration. After years of work, he filed a patent, and this is how Biotherm came into being. The very first product from the brand was called Biomains. Incidentally, it is still sold today. Nevertheless, Biotherm did not stop there and went on to develop other equally innovative and cutting-edge cosmetic products. Today, Biotherm's range is particularly extensive. In 1970, Biotherm was acquired by the L'Oréal group. This allowed it to expand its reputation internationally. From then on, Biotherm focused its communication and research on water. After all, what more prestigious material could there be? It was during this period that the wave became its logo. At the same time, Biotherm did not hesitate to call on prestigious figures to strengthen its image. Thus, its research center was inaugurated in 1974 by Princess Grace of Monaco. Still very much in tune with the times, Biotherm today appears to be focusing its efforts on the eco-responsible aspect of its products. In particular, Biotherm launched, in 2012, a platform dedicated to preserving the planet's water and protecting aquatic life.

Biotherm's current image

Today, the Biotherm brand stands as a reference in skincare and beauty. Its image is now embodied by Christie Turlington Burns, the new Biotherm ambassador. At once a woman, a mother, an entrepreneur, a marathon runner responsible for an association, and a yoga enthusiast, she is the very embodiment of the Biotherm philosophy. Indeed, the brand encourages its consumers to fully embrace every moment of their lives and to refocus on themselves, as if to preserve their inner and outer beauty. Still particularly attuned to the spirit of its era, Biotherm has recently developed treatments designed for the skin of city dwellers, aimed at reoxygenating it. Biotherm is unquestionably a brand that adapts to our times and to the lifestyle of its contemporaries. So, take hold of their expertise, built up over more than half a century, and instantly give your body a radiant glow!
