The One for Men Eau de Parfum

Dolce & Gabbana sells The One for men as an eau de parfum, through a reissue the house gives as an unchanged juice, reformulated to last longer and rebottled. The staged breakdown opens on grapefruit, coriander and basil, passes through cardamom, ginger and orange blossom, and closes on tobacco, amber and cedar. The house classification is woody ambery.

The staged breakdown relayed by three independent retailers gives grapefruit, coriander and basil at the top, cardamom, ginger and orange blossom at the heart, tobacco, amber and cedar at the base. The house classifies the whole as woody ambery.

What the house declares

The current copy keeps only three materials and gives them no stage: Italian tarocco orange, French clary sage, Australian sandalwood. The house describes a meeting between the blood citrus and the herbaceous note, which gives way to wood.

What the label declares

The label carries materials that no stage receives: patchouli oil, orange peel oil, atlas cedar oil, lavender oil, geranium oil, eucalyptus oil, sclareol, santalol, vanillin. Four colorants close the list, CI 19140, CI 14700, CI 60730 and CI 42090.

What stays outside the declared accord

The sclareol and santalol on the label answer the clary sage and sandalwood of the current copy, two materials the staged breakdown does not carry. The gap holds: the relayed breakdown dates from the previous formula, and the house has published none for the one it sells.
