Cristalle by Chanel is inspired by a weekend spent outdoors and the resulting feeling of calm. Between character and transparency, it champions naturalness, without losing any of the sophistication of Chanel's creations. With it, pure spring water blends with the coolness of stone, yet warmed by rays of sunlight. The result is a limpid, charming water, as fresh as an eau de cologne of old, yet possessing enveloping longevity. If this fragrance bears this name, it is also because it is rich with exceptional femininity. Indeed, in 1974, it was first named Cristal. It was ultimately feminized the following year. Since then, it has enchanted us with its mischief and spring-like freshness. Born of remarkable craftsmanship, it is also a historic fragrance. Indeed, Cristalle was the very first olfactory creation to emerge after the death of Gabrielle Chanel.
The floral freshness of Cristalle by Chanel
Cristalle by Chanel owes its existence to one of the greatest perfumers of the last century: Henri Robert. Essentially built around a honeysuckle accord, it delivers sustained freshness paired with other greener, sweeter notes. In this case, it incorporates a trio of flowers, namely jasmine, narcissus and ylang-ylang. Its lively, energizing freshness is further amplified by the presence of citrus. Thanks to Sicilian lemon and bergamot, Cristalle is not lacking in spirit. It nonetheless softens with peach, before evolving toward more tenacious, woody notes of Bourbon vetiver, patchouli and oakmoss.
