Composition

Citrus top

Four citrus fruits open the composition. Bergamot pairs the fruit with a sweet, fresh edge. Grapefruit brings a juicy, fresh citrus. Lemon leans toward a sharp, tangy acidity, while mandarin sparkles, sun-kissed and luminous.

Woody and spicy heart

The heart brings together sandalwood, cedar, nutmeg, gunpowder and juniper. Sandalwood turns smooth and warm, cedar evokes pencil shavings and resin. Nutmeg oscillates between warmth and woody freshness, juniper peppers a resinous material, and gunpowder slips in a metallic, fresh glint.

Amber base

Ambergris, musk, cedar, sandalwood and vetiver make up the base. Ambergris pairs the wood with a camphoraceous accent and an animalic note; musk, animalic and warm, stays woody. Vetiver brings smoke and earth, while cedar and sandalwood return with their resinous, smooth wood.

Amber and woody

The link to the amber family comes through ambergris and musk, whose animalic warmth characterizes these dense, enveloping base accords. The woody facet relies on sandalwood, cedar, vetiver, juniper and nutmeg, present from the heart through to the base.

What the label declares

The ingredients list declares alcohol, designated ALCOHOL in the INCI nomenclature. This is ethanol, the solvent that carries the odorous materials and evaporates upon application. It is not linked to any note in the pyramid.
