Barclay 1926

Caswell Massey presents Barclay 1926 as a special edition created for the centennial of the InterContinental New York Barclay hotel. The house opened its flagship store there in 1926; a century later, the two New York names come together to sign an exclusive fragrance.

Barclay 1926 is sold on the Caswell Massey website, priced at 40 dollars for the 7.5 ml travel vial, and at the hotel lobby shop. The house places it among its unisex eaux de parfum, dosed between 15 and 20% concentrate.

The hotel features the fragrance in its “Journey to 100” countdown, opened on November 4, 2025 and closing on November 4, 2026, its hundredth anniversary. The Caswell Massey flagship store remained there for more than eighty years, until the hotel closed for renovation.

According to the house, the composition celebrates a century of elegance and the hotel's legacy of hospitality. Caswell Massey describes a blend of citrus inspired by the history of the Barclay and its rooftop apiary, perched above Manhattan, with a spirit it calls distinctly New York.

What is still missing

No perfumer is named by the house. The 7.5 ml travel vial is the format offered; the house speaks of a special edition without specifying a production run, a withdrawal-from-sale date, or a larger-size bottle.
