Lafayette Street

Apple, fruity and gourmand, sits alongside vanilla, tonka bean and ambroxan in Lafayette Street. Bond No. 9 presented this fougère in 2018, as an eau de parfum, under the name of a New York street near its headquarters. Coriander, bergamot, cedar, wood and ambergris also appear among the heart notes of the composition.

Heart tier

Fruity and gourmand apple, bergamot both fruity and fresh, lively coriander with spicy accents: that accounts for the bright side. Warm, sweet vanilla, toasted tonka bean with tones of almond and caramel, woody and animalic ambroxan, camphoraceous ambergris, smooth and creamy wood, resinous cedar evoking pencil shavings form the dense side.

A gourmand fougère

Historically, fougère rests on a tension between aromatic freshness and a coumarin-rich base. In Lafayette Street, bergamot and coriander hold the fresh pole, while tonka bean, rich in coumarin, brings the roundness characteristic of the family; cedar and wood provide the foundation, and apple and vanilla tilt it toward the gourmand.
