Bergamotto di Calabria, composed by Acqua Di Parma in 2010, opens on bergamot and citron, both fresh, one as fruit, the other as zest. The heart combines cedar and ginger, while the base brings together vetiver and musk, both woody, alongside vanilla and caramel-tinged benzoin.
Bergamot, fruity and fresh, and citron, fresh and zesty, occupy the top: their shared freshness unfolds along two lines, the rounded fruit of one, the sharp citrus of the other.
Cedar, woody and evoking pencil shavings, sits alongside ginger, spicy and warm, in the heart: on one side a dry wood, on the other a warming spice.
Vetiver and musk, both woody, mingle in the base with benzoin, sweet with vanilla and caramel: wood links the first two, while the gourmand quality belongs to the third alone.
