Between an opening of lavender, bergamot, apple and cinnamon and a base of vanilla, patchouli and tonka bean, 9pm draws an arc that runs from aromatic freshness to sweet warmth. Presented by Afnan in 2020, it carries lily of the valley and orange blossom at its heart, and belongs to the oriental family.

Opening

Lavender, bergamot, apple and cinnamon open the accord. Lavender brings a floral freshness tinged with camphor, and bergamot a fruity, sweet note, bright and clear. Apple adds a gourmand fruitiness, while cinnamon, with its bark-like odor, slips in a woody spice from the very first moments.

Floral heart

In the heart tier sit lily of the valley and orange blossom. Lily of the valley evokes a green, fresh flower, close to a cut stem. Orange blossom is described as waxy, sweet and lightly powdery, a facet common to white flowers.

Base

The base brings together vanilla, patchouli and tonka bean. Vanilla combines sugar, warmth and a touch of spice. Patchouli, a dried and distilled leaf, delivers an earthy, damp odor, lifted by camphor. Tonka bean, rich in coumarin, evokes toasted almond and caramel.

Oriental family

Belonging to the oriental family, 9pm finds its markers in its vanilla, tonka bean and cinnamon. This family brings together warm compositions, where spices, resins and sweet or amber notes dominate; patchouli often lends an earthy foundation, present here in the base.
