Plum

Plum is an edible fruit produced by several trees classified in the botanical family Prunus. The origin of plum is uncertain since it is originally found on three continents, North America, Asia and Europe. In France, plum mainly refers to the greengage, the quetsche, the Mirabelle plum or the Agen prune. Plum, often hybridized with other species, now numbers about 400 different varieties. Plum flesh is fibrous, juicy and very sweet when ripe. In perfumery, it is impossible to extract oil from plum. Its notes are then faithfully reproduced from molecules, particularly from damascones.

Plum, a gourmand scent

The scent of plum is used as much in men's perfumery as in women's. Plum offers velvety, sweet, gourmand fragrances with floral and syrupy facets.
