Vanilla Skin

Vanilla Skin is the Eau de Parfum that Phlur drew in 2024 from its hair and body mist, launched a year earlier. Clément Gavarry sets pink pepper, pink apple and sugar crystals against a heart of lily, jasmine and cashmere wood, over a base of benzoin, vanilla, sandalwood and agarwood. The house classifies it among woody gourmands.

Sameeha Shaikh, in Grazia, judged in 2024 that Vanilla Skin deserves the enthusiasm it stirs: a creamy, cozy vanilla, sweet enough to charm without becoming cloying.

What critics say

Sameeha Shaikh, Grazia, 2024

Sameeha Shaikh, beauty writer at Grazia UK, felt in 2024 that Vanilla Skin lives up to the anticipation surrounding every Phlur launch. Where many vanillas come across as cloying, this one escapes that fate in her eyes.

She credits the balance of the notes: bright pink pepper, warm cashmere wood and a sensual base of vanilla, sandalwood and agarwood together produce, in her view, a creamy and cozy result, sweet enough to remain addictive.
