Rare Beginnings

Rare Beginnings is Rare Beauty’s second eau de parfum, from Selena Gomez’s brand, released in August 2026. This fruity floral opens on pear nectar and pistachio, with gardenia, jasmine and lotus blossom in the heart, over a base of vanilla, pink sugar and cedar, in a bottle designed for accessibility.

For Rare Beauty, Rare Beginnings is a bright, blooming fragrance full of possibility. It opens on a burst of ripe pear nectar and creamy pistachio. A bouquet of white flowers softens it, and the intimate warmth of vanilla and pink sugar gives it depth.

Pear, Gardenia and Vanilla

Pear and pistachio hold the top; gardenia, jasmine and lotus form the heart; vanilla, pink sugar and cedar make up the base. The house sees it as a fruity floral wrapped in a creamy sweetness.

What the Label Declares

Alcohol, fragrance and water open the list, ahead of tetramethyl acetyloctahydronaphthalenes, an ambery wood, and vanillin. Hydroxycitronellal, limonene, benzyl salicylate and the oils of bergamot and bitter orange also rank among the first ingredients.

It also lists linalyl acetate, hexyl cinnamal, pinene, linalool, geranyl acetate, citral, citronellol and geraniol, along with alpha-terpinene, beta-caryophyllene, terpineol, terpinolene and carvone.

Two UV filters, ethylhexyl salicylate and butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane, complete the formula, which also includes acetyl cedrene and rose ketones. No colorant appears in it.
