Midnight Rain by La Prairie is a feminine fragrance launched in 2008. Guava, pomegranate and mandarin introduce a fruity top, followed by orchid and lily, before a woody base of patchouli, cashmere wood and vetiver.
Guava, fruity and green, and pomegranate, fresh and tart, occupy the top alongside freesia, luminous and jasmine-like: the pomegranate alone carries the tartness, while the guava remains on its green facet.
Orchid, vanilla-like and anisic, plum, velvety and sweet, and lily, floral and soft, meet in the heart; the sweetness of the plum joins the softness of the lily, while the anise of the orchid remains alone.
Patchouli, earthy and damp, cashmere wood, warm and camphoraceous, and musk, woody and animalic, hold the base; the damp earth, the warm camphor and the animalic quality of the musk remain distinct there.
