Cedrat Boise

In 2011, Mancera presented Cedrat Boise, an Eau de Parfum composed by Pierre Montale. Lemon, bergamot and other tart citrus notes open the composition alongside a green blackcurrant with a sulfurous sourness. Jasmine and patchouli form the heart, and the base brings together smoky leather, spicy vanilla, musk, cedar, sandalwood and two earthy mosses.

Tart opening

Lemon brings acidity and tart freshness, extended by an equally vivid citrus accord. Bergamot adds a fruity, sweet and fresh note. Blackcurrant stands out for its greenness, with a sour edge and that hint of sulfur typical of the plant's bud.

Floral and earthy heart

Jasmine lends a sweet warmth with a wild accent, that of white flowers rich in animalic facets. Patchouli, a dried and distilled leaf, adds an earthy material, an impression of dampness and a camphoraceous touch.

Woody and mossy base

Leather evokes smoke, tar and tobacco. Vanilla is sweet, spicy and warm, musk woody and animalic. Cedar recalls pencil shavings and resin, sandalwood remains creamy. Oakmoss, earthy and slightly musty, and a moss with the scent of undergrowth complete the accord.

Citrus

Citrus notes take their name from the citrus fruits whose peel is pressed to extract their essence. Lemon, bergamot and the citrus accord carry this family here, with their freshness and acidity, which blackcurrant comes to green.

What the label declares

The label declares lemon and bitter orange peel oils, in keeping with the top citrus notes, and patchouli oil from the heart. Limonene, linalool and linalyl acetate are common constituents of citrus essences, pinene evokes resinous notes. Tetramethyl acetyloctahydronaphthalene is a synthetic woody and amber molecule.
