Jungle is the eau de parfum that Kenzo launched in 1996 under the emblem of the elephant, composed by Dominique Ropion. A spicy oriental, it brings cardamom, cumin and clove together with mandarin, over a base of vanilla and patchouli. Victoria Frolova sees in it a fragrance that undulates like water, Neil Chapman a strange work without equal.

From spices to vanilla
Mandarin opens the composition with a lively note, quickly overtaken by spices: cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg and clove form a warm, dense heart. Patchouli and vanilla make up an enveloping base.
The other materials
Other materials accompany these tiers, cumin, ylang-ylang, heliotrope, licorice, mango, cashmeran and amber, giving the fragrance its fruity, anisic and woody facets.
