Through it, Azzedine Alaia wished for his fragrance to travel through every era. My perfume comes from far away, he used to say, it is a source perfume. It bears witness to no particular era, but to the emotions of every era. It comes from no country because it has crossed them all. It reveals no season since it inhabits them all.
Alaia Nude, a floral and woody blend
In this context, in order to evoke the full personality of women all at once, Azzedine Alaia decided to play on a floral and woody contrast. Thus, Alaia Nude follows exactly the same path as its predecessor. Its softness comes through in an animalic, velvety breath of suede. What is more, it is further reinforced by the tenderness of cashmere wood. Its floral side, meanwhile, comes through in an enormous bouquet of white flowers dominated by the Mediterranean, sun-kissed breath of orange blossom. Iris reinforces the full powdery elegance of this juice. Tonka bean wraps the whole in its milky scent. More pronounced woody notes come to contrast with this lightness. Cedar is very present. It pairs with the full animalic quality of musk and leather.

Entirely made of glass, the bottle of Alaia Nude is sculpted with great precision. Its rectangular black glass body of the past has nevertheless given way to a more translucent, softly pale pink color. This heavy, precious object is adorned with a perforated face bearing one of the emblematic motifs of the house Azzedine Alaia. It is a motif that first appeared on an Azzedine Alaia leather corset in the 1980s. Likewise, always creating a link with the world of couture, Azzedine Alaia devised a cap resembling a spool of gold thread. More than ever, Alaia Nude has managed to preserve the very feminine and glamorous spirit of the house to which it belongs.
