Al Kindi is a unisex fragrance by Atarasia, a Malaysian artisanal house, released in 2026 under the name “Atarasia x Elixir Attar”. Its top notes combine blackcurrant, passion fruit and grape with saffron and aldehydes; its heart brings together labdanum, benzoin, oud and rose, over a base of sandalwood, incense, oakmoss and civet.
The top notes of Al Kindi bring together three fruits, blackcurrant, passion fruit and grape, heightened by saffron, pink pepper and bergamot. The aldehydes add a brightness that contrasts with the resinous depth of the rest of the composition.
The heart combines labdanum and benzoin with Assam oud and rose absolute. Amber, leather and honey complete this resinous heart, which bridges the fruits of the opening and the woods of the base notes.
The base brings together sandalwood, patchouli, incense and oakmoss around vanilla and musk. Civet and ambergris add an animalic facet, which anchors Al Kindi in the oriental family.
