Characteristics of the aromatic family

Even though the word "aromatic" evokes gastronomy more than anything else and is credited with therapeutic properties, aromatic herbs have also long been used in perfumery. This olfactory origin, tied to aromatic extraction, is classed among lemony, minty, camphoraceous, anise and lavender notes. Aqua Allegoria Herba Fresca by Guerlain is a green aromatic fragrance for both men and women. Its creator Jean-Paul Guerlain created this fragrance in 1999, a composition that is both aromatic and citrus, with a scent that is simple and familiar while remaining original. In its scent, one finds aromatic plants that evoke the discreet freshness of spring dew. The scent of chlorophyll and mint recalls chewing gum. A touch of a synthetic molecule, cis-3-hexenol, drawn from geranium, tea and violet, gives this aromatic fragrance a green, lemony scent. Its top notes are composed of clover and lemon. Launched in 2013, the masculine aromatic Eau de Toilette 1881 Acqua Forte by Cerruti is a modern take on the Eau de Cologne. Its citrus accords can be felt cut through by a base that exudes sensuality. In the top note, one finds yuzu and cardamom. The aromatic herb appears in its heart note, basil paired with a synthetic molecule called calone. Cashmere wood and rosewood serve as the base note of this fresh, sensual aromatic Eau de Toilette. Launched in 1996, Acqua Di Gio pour homme by Giorgio Armani is an aromatic and aquatic fragrance. It is fresh, light, and a legendary aromatic fragrance. It contains fruity and marine notes with a subtle aromatic scent of coriander, all intensified by cedarwood. Those who wear it feel virile and dynamic.
