OrientalThe development of the multiple Armani universes
It was in 1975, in Milan, that the Armani brand was born. It was created under the impetus of Giorgio Armani and his partner and companion Sergio Galeotti. At the outset, it was exclusively menswear ready-to-wear. If their initial range met with resounding success, it was simply because it demonstrated profound boldness, notably featuring a revolutionary jacket, deconstructed and unlined. This was soon adapted for womenswear, and enthusiasm for these two products was immense. Buoyed by this success, the Armani house decided to launch a second line in 1981, this time in a younger, more accessible style. This was named Emporio Armani. Many other collections followed, each more elegant than the last. Armani's success also extended to the world of show business, winning over numerous stars such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Jodie Foster and Richard Gere. It was then that Armani decided to expand its activity into perfumery. In the early 80s, Armani signed its first perfumes in collaboration with the L'Oréal group. Its first two fragrances were soberly named Armani pour Femme and Armani pour Homme. They were the first in a long series full of successes, as evidenced by Acqua Di Gio for men, a perfume ranking among the best-selling in the world, or Si for women. Armani also continued its diversification by launching into the creation of cosmetic products, accessories, jewelry and interior furnishings. At the same time, an Armani restaurant even opened in 1989.
The Armani style today
If Armani achieves such success, it is simply because its style has become a symbol of high quality. Armani is synonymous with authenticity, elegance and discretion. Its vision of elegance seems universal and aims to be simple yet resolutely modern. This is reflected just as much in its line of perfumes as in its clothing. Each Armani perfume reflects a world of seduction and manages to enhance the beauty of men and women. At the same time, Armani fragrances are intimate yet dynamic, revealing a multitude of personalities. They are conceived with subtlety, making it impossible to grow tired of them. All these elements have made Armani a true giant of luxury. Armani now has 13 factories established on five continents. 500 Armani stores are spread across 46 countries worldwide. Armani's expansion seems limitless and today covers vast fields. Armani is one of the largest luxury groups on the planet. This Italian label has become a legend symbolizing Latin elegance while respecting the original spirit of its founder despite its incredible development.
