Writing as the guiding thread of Montblanc Signature
If there were only one thing to remember about this perfume, it is that its creation was entirely guided by writing and Montblanc's rich past. Indeed, to echo its history, Montblanc chose to present its perfume in a small inkwell-shaped bottle. This cubic case owes nothing to chance and was designed by designer Mark Eisen. Infinitely elegant, it is illuminated by a white lacquer finish, while bearing a few gold elements. And here again, these details come from Montblanc's heritage. They come straight from the Meisterstück pen, one of Montblanc's most famous writing instruments. Finally, as if all of this were not enough to set the scene, Montblanc also relied on its face of the campaign to remind us of its intimate connection with writing. Here, there is no question of a well-known actress or model. Montblanc chose Diane Ducret, a best-selling author, whose latest book, La Dictatrice, has just been released.
Two renowned perfumers behind Montblanc Signature
While Montblanc's new perfume displays perfect coherence between its history, the shape of its bottle and the choice of its face of the campaign, it must also be acknowledged that its scent is absolutely delightful. Moreover, Montblanc Signature owes its existence to two perfumers, among the best noses on the planet. Montblanc Signature was created by Guillaume Flavigny and Natalie Gracia Cetto. Together, they imagined a signature full of contrasts, bringing together opulent, sensual and fresh notes around a very floral heart. Montblanc Signature opens with a burst of clementine, whose fresh breath is followed by a bouquet of magnolia, peony and ylang-ylang. This latter flower brings an exotic scent, further amplified by the presence of vanilla. Benzoin makes the whole even warmer, while white musk gives this fragrance a purer, more radiant side. With allure and elegance, I wanted to breathe more light, more air and more transparency into Montblanc perfumery, explains Natalie Gracia Cetto. Of course, all the ingredients selected here are of the finest quality.
