Asad Elixir, a men’s eau de parfum from Lattafa, presents itself as a denser, more concentrated evolution of Asad. Pink pepper, saffron and grapefruit open it; tobacco, cedar and vanilla form its center, over a base of patchouli, olibanum, Cashmeran and dry amber. Its black bottle is girded with two crossed silver bands.
Lattafa spreads the notes of Asad Elixir over three tiers: pink pepper, saffron and grapefruit at the top; tobacco, cedar and vanilla at the heart; patchouli, olibanum, Cashmeran and dry amber at the base.
Pink pepper, saffron and grapefruit
Pink pepper and saffron carry the spice of the opening, which grapefruit crosses with a tart bitterness. The house sees it as a sharp start full of tension, the opposite of a rounded beginning.
Tobacco, cedar and vanilla
Tobacco and cedar form a heart the house calls smoky, both dry and woody. Vanilla softens it with a creamy touch, without erasing its character.
Patchouli, olibanum, Cashmeran and amber
Patchouli brings the base its earthy note, olibanum its resin, Cashmeran its woody, musky softness. Amber, which the house wants dry, adds a spare warmth, without sugar.
